Datagroup jointly with the municipal enterprise of the Kharkiv Regional Council “Kharkiv Regional Communication Systems” developed and implemented a plan of the connections of the primary care medical institutions of the Kharkiv region to the Internet on the basis of satellite communication channels in the summer of 2018.
Recall that in early 2018, approximately 230 out of the 332 clinics in the region had no access to the Internet at all. The project covered all the districts of the Kharkiv region, with focus on providing high-quality Internet at the clinics in rural areas. Technical specialists of Datagroup connected 275 medical institutions of the region to the network about in two months, including its most remote areas.
“Introduction of e-medicine in the Kharkiv region – a good example of a model of healthcare reform that can be scaled to other regions and to introduce modern telecommunications solutions in the everyday life of Ukrainians, overcoming the digital gap between urban and village», – considers Mykhailo Shelemba, CEO of Datagroup.
“Due to the increased response speed and advanced means of communication, not one human life in the Kharkiv region was saved. The further introduction of e-medicine is an absolute step forward. According to him, the implementation of such projects becomes the Foundation for the further development and implementation of medical reform in rural areas across the country.
“On the basis of satellite communication channels of Datagroup we also continue the implementation of the IT-Kharkiv program, which was adopted in April 2016 with the purpose of developing telecommunications networks in the Kharkiv region. This program provides for the phased introduction of modern communication technology in all parts of the local authorities in Kharkiv oblast till 2020», – said Mykhailo Chernyak.
