“Datagroup”, the national telecommunications operator, announces changes in the structure of top management.
Alexander Danchenko has left the post of General Director of "Datagroup" due to the election as people's deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation.
Alexander Danchenko headed “Datagroup” since the day of its foundation. Over the past period, the company has become a leader in three of the four market segments: data transmission, international traffic transit, satellite communication. Alexander Danchenko is recognized as one of the most effective managers of the communications industry according to the results of multiple ratings, and "Datagroup" is the second largest operator of fixed communications in Ukraine. Under his leadership a lot of international and national projects were carried out: the construction of a transcontinental line “Europe - Asia”, the construction of the largest satellite network in Europe, the infrastructure for EURO 2012, and others. Alexander Danchenko has many state awards, including the title of Ukraine’s honorary Telemann.
“It was very difficult for me to make a decision about changes in the career. I stood at the origins of the communications industry in the independent Ukraine. In the Verkhovna Rada I have pragmatic objectives in front of me: to revive the glory of Ukraine as a high-tech state, to work on the mechanisms of effective functioning of the industry, to stop rambling and inappropriate processes in the legislative sphere. I have the great practical experience in telecommunications and the team of associates, it is because of this I am sure of the effectiveness of my new work”, - said Alexander Danchenko.
Maxim Smelyanets is appointed as the new General Director of “Datagroup”.
Maxim Smelyanets is working in “Datagroup” since 2004. He held following positions: Head of Sales Department, Head of Business Development Department. He has held the position of the Deputy of General Director since 2007.
