In March 2014, the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (Ukraerorukh) performed an open tender for services of data transmission by wire communication networks at the enterprise facilities. Other leading telecommunication service suppliers, «Omega Telecom» and «Kyivstar», also participated in the tender. The «Datagroup» company’s bid proved to be the best. In October 2015, the company completed implementation of the network construction project for Ukraerorukh.
According to the agreement terms, «Datagroup» performed construction and setting into operation of two fault-tolerant communication networks at their expense (SDH and MPLS network based) for 29 divisions of Ukraerorukh. Besides, all communication nodes are fitted with Cisco active equipment. New equipment allows increasing the volumes of data transferred within the enterprise network in a significant way. That is relevant for functioning of regional structural divisions, district control centers, in particular, airdrome control towers, and en-route radar facility complexes.
In order to provide the simultaneous operation of the corporate and operational service networks with the corresponding service quality, there were more than 600 km of the optical network built and the available DWDM primary network nodes modernized. The end SDH/MPLS equipment has been configured according to the scope of work and the data transfer networks (Ethernet and Е1 standards) already function successfully.
It is provided by the agreement between the parties that «Datagroup» undertakes the liabilities of 24/7 network quality monitoring, and it is stipulated by SLA (Service Level Agreement). Implementation of the project on the basis of the «Datagroup» network enables to ensure additional fault tolerance of communication service, transmit any type of traffic, arrange remote monitoring, as well as it provides an opportunity to develop the entire Ukraerorukh telecommunication structure. That will facilitate raising the security of flights in the aerial space of Ukraine.
