The companies DATAGROUP and Volia allocated 1.1 million UAH from the reserve fund to help victims of the man-made disaster in the Kherson region. On the night of June 6, a major tragedy, caused by the actions of invading troops on our territory, took place in Ukraine — the Kakhovska HPP dam was blown up. This caused a humanitarian catastrophe in the territories of southern Ukraine, dozens of settlements were flooded, and thousands of Ukrainians were left homeless.
The aid will be sent to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region, whose employees are currently fulfilling their duties heroically, rescuing the lives and property of local residents. The funds were used to purchase pumps for draining the water away and other equipment and items of first necessity on the country's most famous marketplace, which will help the victims to withstand these difficult conditions.
“This terrible act of terror shocked us all. It is impossible to justify a reason to commit such a brutal atrocity against the local population. But we Ukrainians are known for supporting each other in any situation. So let's stick together. Together we will win!” comments the CEO of DATAGROUP and Volia Mykhailo Shelemba.
We would like to add that the companies DATAGROUP and Volia are already implementing several social projects in the Kherson region. For example, they finance a program of free medical appointments in front-line cities, in particular in Kherson, together with the Frida charitable foundation, within the framework of which doctors managed to conduct 8,870 free professional consultations and help 3,678 local residents. And on June 10-11, the doctors had an extraordinary trip to Kherson in order to help the victims of the disaster.
Also, immediately after the liberation of the city, despite the constant shelling, the companies DATAGROUP and Volia started working on restoring communications in the region. Moreover, in the first few months, Kherson residents received services at a discounted rate, almost free of charge.
