Among the winners of the annual competition of PR cases of companies, the DVL (Datagroup-Volia-lifecell) Group received 2 awards at once. The victory was won by the projects that participated in the nominations “Top Manager’s Openness” and “Sponsorship Project” (BIHOZBIR in support of the children’s hospice the Dim Metelykiv). The best activities were determined by public voting and jury scores.
The first of the victories was for the openness of the DVL Group of Companies CEO, Mykhailo Shelemba. His name became the personification of the appearance of a new telecom group in the Ukrainian market in 2024. It was the openness and faith in the project success that contributed to the conclusion of one of the largest M&A agreements for Ukraine in 10 years and the attraction of one of the largest international investments for business development. That event could not escape public attention. Thanks to his activity and readiness to communicate, Mykhailo gave 14 exclusive interviews during 9 months of 2024, participated in three popular video podcasts, and took part as a speaker in 14 events. The general communication resonance for this period is more than 530 publications in the media.
Mykhailo is a philanthropist, the founder of the Our Children project to support the war orphans, and helps soldiers in need of prosthetics a lot. Triathlete, Ironman, a motivator of an active lifestyle and corporate volunteering for the team. With Mykhailo’s support, the company implements relevant CSR programs and systematically helps children who need it most. Thus, Datagroup-Volia is a long-time ambassador of the City of Good (Center of Kindness for Mother and Child, Chernivtsi) and the I Am the Future of Ukraine charitable foundation.
One of the assistance projects is the support of the children’s hospice the Dim Metelykiv from the City of Good. In particular, thanks to the charitable BIHOZBIR With Butterflies in the Heart, which was implemented jointly with RunUkraine.It was this project that received the second award for companies in the contest of the best PR cases, as it gained wide publicity and support.
Oleksandr Zinchenko, Marta Levchenko, Svitlana Tarabarova, Danylo Sapunov, Hanna Abdulova, and other famous Ukrainians became BIHOZBIR ambassadors.Amateur athletes from all over Ukraine learned about the BIHOZBIR “With Butterflies in the Heart” and joined the fundraising. They registered in a special application and recorded their daily runs so that each kilometer could turn into a donation in favor of seriously ill children from the Dim Metelykiv. Therefore, it was with “Butterflies in the Heart” that more than 840 participants addressed their kilometers for a good cause, and the company converted them into donations: 1 km = UAH 10 Thus, they ran 100,000 km together and raised and transferred UAH 1,000,000 to the Dim Metelykiv. In addition, more than UAH 40,000 were collected for an additional envelope for donations.
The results of the BIHOZBIR were solemnly summed up with the participation of the DVL team in the Kyiv Invincibility Marathon 2024, held on October 12–13.
In general, in 2024, the company transferred more than UAH 2.1 million to the Dim Metelykiv’s needs. Earlier this year, a contribution of UAH 1.1 million was transferred for equipping the palliative department, which supports and facilitates the condition of seriously ill children with incurable diagnoses.
